Bydgoszcz is situated on the Brda and Vistula rivers, with a population of about 400,000 which makes it the 8th biggest city in Poland. Bydgoszcz is part of the metroplex Bydgoszcz-Toruń with Toruń, only 45 km away, and over 850,000 inhabitants.

The city is an important university center being the seat of Casimir the Great University , University of Technology and Life Sciences, Academy of Music as well as Collegium Medicum and Bygoszcz School of Banking, among others.

Bydgoszcz has a famous Concert Hall (Filharmonia Pomorska) and an opera house Opera Nova and is a place of numerous musical events.

It can be attractive for tourists who can find here beautiful architecture of neogothic and secession styles, old granaries at the Brda river, and can take a rest in the Leisure Park commonly known as Myslecinek.

From the Bydgoszcz Airport there are direct flights to Warsaw, London, Dublin, Liverpool, Berlin, Katowice, Vienna, Copenhagen and Düsseldorf-Weeze as well as some charter flights.
